Pulmonary hypertension: case report A 26-year-old man developed pulmonary hypertension during treatment with teriflunomide for multiple sclerosis. The man presented with acute right heart failure secondary to pulmonary hypertension. He had a history of multiple sclerosis and unspecified intolerance to interferon-beta-1a. Eight months prior to presentation, he started receiving teriflunomide [route and dosage not stated]. At current presentation, echocardiogram revealed pulmonary hypertension associated with severe tricuspid insufficiency. The chest CT angiograph ruled-out parenchyma abnormalities or pulmonary thromboembolism. The man was hospitalised and treatment with teriflunomide was discontinued. He received unspecified treatment for primary pulmonary hypertension and was discharged [duration of treatment to reactions onsets not stated and outcome not stated]. Lopez Moreno Y, et al.
