The Exploration for Computer Teaching Reform of College Based on CDIO Education Concept Zhu Lin Li, Wen Fa Wang, and Chun Xu

Abstract According to the shortage of computer engineering talents in China and the quality problem of the computer professional education in ordinary colleges and Universities, we propose the computer curriculum teaching reform method with the CDIO education concept-orientation and set up the curriculum design based on the practical engineering project to make the students learning by doing. The exploration and practice results show, on one hand, the new method makes students to learn knowledge and engineering technology and trains students to solve practical problems, collaboration and innovation ability; on the other hand, improves the computer professional education quality of colleges and achieves the target of cultivating the application and innovative computer talents with high quality. The contribution of this paper is designing the curriculum system structure of “data structure” combined with the actual situation of Chinese colleges and Universities. Introduction

The lack of engineering talents and the quality problems of engineering education are world problems. Since 1986, the National Science Foundation (NSF) in the United States, the National Research Council (NRC) of America, the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) of America and the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) had been spreading investigation, making plan and promoting the engineering education reform actively. composed a multinational research combination, got near $16 million huge funding from Knut and Alice Wallenberg fund, and proposed the CDIO education idea and established the CDIO international cooperation organization after 4 years. The CDIO engineering education mode is the latest achievements of international engineering education reform in recent years, its meaning is Conceive, Design, Implement and Operate, its basic methodology is based on the project of learning and learning by doing and its goal is to improve engineering education quality and train engineering talents [1–3]. The computer specialty is practical engineering. How to apply CDIO education idea in the computer specialized curriculum teaching, to melt classroom teaching and practice teaching into an integral whole is the prime question in computer teaching [4]. Combine with the energy chemical projects
