Abstract. Currently, there are many problems of the application development of E-Assessment such as the difficulty to use the assessment object from a plat‐ form to another one. In addition, the domain model reuse rate is very low in various application systems, and hardness to guarantee the consistency between designs and codes. Therefore, to resolve these problems, we need an approach aiming to automate the modeling and coding processes in e-assessment system. The present study describes an approach, based on service cloud computing, for integrating e-assessment functionalities of candidate LMS systems into a gener‐ alized e-assessment process. Introduction
We propose to develop a generic and adaptable e-assessment process. The e-assessment approach could not be suitable for all types of learners as they present different knowl‐ edge profiles and learning behaviors. Some of them need to be assessed on the complete learning materials to evaluate their overall knowledge. Others may only need to estimate their knowledge at a particular stage of the learning process in order to access to the suitable learning material. There is why, we are brought about adapting the generic e-assessment process to the learner behavior. In fact, to ensure this adaptation, we present a set of mapping rules defined as a composite cloud service. The use of cloud technology in our e-assessment approach offers for us many benefits such as: interoperability, scal‐ ability and flexibility.

Generic E-Assessment Process Development
We present in this section the development of a generic e-assessment process using the LMS [8, 10] and based on the LTSA [6] which we extend by some features required to such development. The generated e-assessment model is specified by UML AD [1]. To build this generic e-assessment process, we are brought about following steps.

2.1 Analyze and Study the Existing LMSs Functionality We have studied and analyzed a set of existing LMSs (Learning Management System) such as Moodle [3], OLAT [2] and LAMS [4] … These LMSs provide several e-assess‐ ment tools and not a global e-assessment process. In fact, we have explored the func‐ tionalities that they offer to realize the e-assessment (Fig. 1). Mapping rules
