Complex generalised tonic-clonic seizure: case report A 29-year-old woman developed complex generalised tonicclonic seizure during treatment with varenicline. The woman had a history of hypothyroidism, bipolar affective disorder, tobacco use disorder and old head trauma. She had undergone face reconstruction in 2004. She had been receiving bupropion for about 1 month to quit smoking. However, as she was unable to quit smoking, she discontinued the bupropion therapy abruptly. Two days after disconnuing bupropion, she started receiving varenicline [route and dosage not stated]. However, after 5 days, she developed complex generalised tonic-clonic seizure for the first time. The episode lasted for about 5 minutes. It was then revealed that she was sleep deprived (sleeping
