Vorinostat Leukonychia: 3 case reports Three patients with mycosis fungoides developed leukonychia while receiving treatment with vorinostat [Zolinza]. Patient 1, a 70-year-old woman, had been taking vorinostat 300 to 400 mg/day for 6 months when diffuse leukonychia appeared. Vorinostat was discontinued after 10 months of therapy, and symptoms disappeared 10 months later. Patient 2, a 70-year-old man, received vorinostat 400 mg/day for 40 weeks before leukonychia appeared on all fingernails, which resolved 4 months after the discontinuation of vorinostat. Patient 3, a 44-year-old man, developed leukonychia on all fingernails 6 months after the initiation of vorinostat 400 mg/day [outcome not stated]. Of note, creatinine levels were elevated in 2 patients. Anderson KA, et al. Leukonychia related to vorinostat. Archives of Dermatology 803005503 145: 1338-9, No. 11, 1 Nov 2009 - USA
