Preface

This book started as an update and an extension of one of the author’s unpublished doctoral thesis on the development of the lower Mekong River basin as a case study of regional cooperation among the four riparian states of Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and The Republic of Vietnam for economic development of the region. After a year of research on the Internet, we decided to limit and focus the subject on the water resources and food security in the Mekong Delta for three reasons.
