Angioedema, erythema and urticaria during desensitisation: 2 case reports Two men aged 22 and 28 years, who both had egg allergies, underwent a desensitisation protocol with yellow fever vaccine. After antihistamine premedication they received 7 doses of the vaccine, each 30 minutes apart [route not stated]. Doses 1, 2 and 3 were 0.1mL of 1:1000, 1:100, and 1:10 vaccine, respectively. Doses 4, 5, 6 and 7 were at 0.05mL, 0.1mL, 0.15mL and 0.2mL respectively, of 1:1 vaccine. The 22-year-old man developed mild local erythema after doses 4–6; the 28-year-old man had urticaria after doses 1–3, and local erythema/angioedema lasting 6 hours after doses 4–7 [treatments and outcomes not stated].
