Preface

The book presents papers selected under the leadership of GIREP vzw—the International Research Group on Physics Teaching, the organization promoting enhancement of the quality of physics teaching and learning at all educational levels and in all contexts. Through organization of annual conferences and seminars, active participation of researchers and practitioners in various GIREP Thematic Groups and wide cooperation with other international organizations involved in physics education, GIREP vzw facilitates the exchange of information and good practices in physics education, supports the improvement of the quality of pre-service and in-service professional development in physics teaching, promotes research in the field and facilitates the cooperation between stakeholders on both national and international levels. This book is based on contributions presented at the GIREP-ICPE-EPEC 2017 conference, which was hosted in Dublin from 3 to 7 July 2017
