Cost-benefit analysis (CBA) as a technique to help decision makers make investments, assess regulations, and assess difficult public policy tradeoffs has been around for over 50 years. What makes another book about cost-benefit unique and worth reading? What does a reader have to learn? This book is different because it focuses on pragmatic issues in Southeast Asia examined by researchers from the region. As sponsor of the research, the Environment and Economy Program of Southeast Asia (EEPSEA) mentors each researcher to help create studies that can be used in the classroom and help inform decision makers.
