This book is dedicated to all my patients who have provided me the incentive to write about the dilemmas in managing endometrial carcinoma. Dr. Sushila Kothari, my maternal aunt, deserves a special mention as she braved this disease very positively for almost twelve years after having been diagnosed in stage IV.

Of all gynecological malignancies, endometrial carcinoma is the most consistent in presentation, easy to diagnose and has a largely favorable outcome. At the same time, it has had a turbulent evolutionary journey and the most varied management protocols across institutions and individuals. Editing a book on this challenging topic has been a very satisfying experience. This book is a genuine venture to provide a comprehensive coverage of the “Cinderella” of gynecological cancers, i.e., endometrial carcinoma. All ten chapters in this book are written by well-known specialists having vast experience in the fields of gynecologic oncology, gynecology, pathology, etc. The experience of the authors reflects in their writing. Basics as well as current facts and evidence-based practices have been incorporated in each chapter.
