Abstract With the growing demand of continuing education, the education provided nowadays cannot meet the needs of the era. A new training and learning method should be introduced to meet the learners’ needs. The rapid rise of cloud computing provides a new idea for continuing education and training. The article will discuss the construction of continuing education network training platform based on cloud computing and make further study on its function and application. Introduction
Twenty-first century has brought us to an information society; information technology has integrated into various aspects of the national economy and social life. The traditional education system and teaching is now facing the challenges of changing times—personalized learning, lifelong learning and the construction of learning society has become the inevitable demand of the times. Therefore, it’s necessary to build a flexible and open system of lifelong education, develop modern distance education vigorously, build an open distance continuing education and public service platform based on satellite, television and the Internet as the carrier to provide convenient, flexible, personalized learning conditions for learners. However, in the context of the current social environment, a new term has quietly emerged in the information society—Cloud Computing which has brought about epoch-making changes to all walks of life, especially provides a new idea to the establishment of the current continuing education network

training mode. At present, due to the expansion of the training institutions, the existing training mode are unable to adapt to the new requirements. In the meantime, the updating of the teaching facilities restrains the development of continuing education network training. The emergence of Cloud Computing provides a new solution for the establishment of a unified, open and flexible continuing education network training platform as well as reducing hardware investment. Nowadays, many large IT companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, etc. have already built their own cloud computing platform, domestic companies such as Lenovo, Baidu etc. have also launched “cloud services”, “cloud storage” and other new business. Cloud Computing has been widely used in various industries which has brought our society as a whole to take a step forward towards the Cloud Computing era [1].
