Abstract Traditional teaching-and-learning environments often do not address the learning needs of students who prefer experiential activities and the use of new technology. In this paper, it is provided a new method to create a game platform that includes the acupuncture knowledge. When students use this platform, they will find learning is an interesting thing. This is the so-called Serious Games. It is rising in a wide range of fields like education, training and simulation, etc. We develop a game for acupuncture education and use a different platform, Unity3D, as our game engine. 3D models and other scenes are designed with 3ds Max 2012, then converted to *.fbx format to load in the Unity 3D. When students log in the game, the game presents a series of scenes include some questions and asks students to make decisions about the acupuncture knowledge. It is also discussed some details of the game for acupuncture learning and provided some references for the development of the Serious Games. Keywords Acupuncture education

significance and application value to train acupuncture learners with modern information technology. The use of ‘serious games’ is rapidly growing part of educational technology. Serious Games research has shown that learning through games has positive effects, since the users can abstract themselves from the learning process itself, and learn while playing. For this reason, we decided to create a serious game for education of acupuncture. This paper describes a project that will see the design and development serious game to facilitate learning of the concepts related to acupuncture. It can help medical students to focus on and develop an understanding of the acupuncture knowledge.
