THERE are some errors in the text. Gibbs energy changes for the Reactions [11] and [12] at 1773.15 K (1500 °C) were mistakenly doubled. Correct values for the Gibbs energies are MnO þ 1=2SiS2 ¼ MnS þ 1=2SiO2 ; Dgexchange MnSi=OS ¼ 166 kJ/mol MnO þ 1=3Al2 S3 ¼ MnS þ 1=3Al2 O3 ; Dgexchange MnAl=OS ¼ 155 kJ/mol
