This book was motivated by the desire to further the evolution of Islamic finance and banking in the field of social sciences. The book was based on the findings of my doctoral research and a robust research process that took over 6 years. This project covered the practices, processes and structures of financial product development of Islamic finance and banking over five continents. This book is not merely an academic work, nor is it a pure practitioner guide; rather, it is a robust work that combines both. It marries rigorous academic research and theories with practical industry experiences.
