Trigeminal nerve pain and related headache conditions impact millions of people in the USA and across the world. Affected persons can suffer with debilitating pain leading to a deterioration of overall quality of life and psychological well-being. Unfortunately, the diagnosis and treatment of these syndromes can be challenging given a lack of strong training in managing these conditions. This book discusses the different painful trigeminal nerve conditions with a special focus on trigeminal neuralgia which is the most common trigeminal pain condition. Authors fully and comprehensively discuss these syndromes, including the epidemiology, anatomy, diagnosis, and the different available treatment strategies including non-pharmacological, pharmacological, interventional, and surgical modalities.
