Synonyms ICF Items Definition Categories within health and health-related domains are the units of the ICF classification. The categories are organized within a hierarchically nested structure with up to four different levels and are denoted by unique alphanumeric codes. It is important to note, therefore, that in ICF persons are not the units of classification. The ICF does not classify people, but describes the situation of each person within an array of health or health-related domains.
