IUMRS-ICEM2010 to Be Held in Korea in August http://iumrs-icem2010.org
The International Union of Materials Research Societies-International Conference on Electronic Materials 2010 (IUMRSICEM2010) will be held at KINTEX (Korea International Exhibition Center), Goyang, Gyeonggi-do, Korea, on August 22–27, 2010. The conference is hosted by the Materials Research Society of Korea. Hyeong Joon Kim of Seoul National University is the General Chair. The IUMRS-ICEM2010 provides an international forum for reporting progress and recent advances in the modern development of electronic materials, processing, and applications. The symposia include a variety of electronic materials and process-
ing technologies related to semiconductors processing and devices, solar cells and light-emitting-diode–related materials, thin film science and technology, molecular/ organic electronics, and nano-materials. The program also includes a symposium on materials education and on the Materials World Network. The abstract deadline is March 15, 2010. Plenary speakers include Nobel laureate Peter Grünberg of IFF-Institute of Forschungszentrum, Jülich, Manijeh Razeghi of Northwestern University, and Tomoji Kawai of Osaka University and WCU Konkuk University.
The conference will also feature an exhibition of equipment and services, a banquet, an industry tour, and will offer an optional short course and excursions. Full papers will be published in several SCI listed journals after peer review. Preregistration fees are USD $650 (USD $300 for students) before June 30, 2010. The 2010 European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) Spring Meeting will be held in Strasbourg, France at the Palais de la Musique et des Congrès on June 7–11, 2010, with an equipment exhibit on June 8–10. The Meeting is chaired by Ian W. Boyd of University College, London, Thomas K. Lippert of the Paul Scherrer Institut, Giovanni Marletta of the Università di Catania, and Rodrigo
Martins of Faculdade de Ciências e Tecnologia-Universidade Nova de Lisboa. The technical program includes topics on biomaterials, sensors, and surfaces; electronic, photonic, and optoelectronic; carbon and energy; and methods and properties.
