Midazolam Anaphylaxis: case report A 30-year-old man developed an anaphylactic reaction immediately after receiving midazolam [dosage, therapeutic indication and time to reaction onset not stated]. His reaction showed good response to an intensive medical management. A prick test with midazolam was positive and he developed an 8 × 5mm wheal and a 15 × 13mm erythema. An 11 × 11mm wheal and a 25 × 25 erythema developed following an intradermal test with flunitrazepam. An oral challenge test with diazepam 10mg showed no reaction. Author comment: "The type of reaction and its timing, as well as the skin test results are consistent with an IgEmediated reaction." Lizarza S, et al.
