Featured Volunteer Brian Holloway What is your favorite element? Carbon.
What common household item do you use in your lab? Aluminum foil.
What do you read first in MRS Bulletin? Washington News.* What was the last book you read? Talking God, by Tony Hillerman. What inspired you to be a materials researcher? The path of least resistance; I would have made a great starving artist and let’s just say my odds as a pro sports success make the lottery look good. What did you first do as an MRS volunteer? Walked into the wrong meeting because I got lost in the hotel in Boston. What is your Motto? Make sure you know where your meetings are. If you were not a materials researcher, what would you be? Congressional staffer or a fishing guide in the Florida Keys. *Now incorporated in SCIENCE POLICY.
