Richard L. Schwoebel Secretary Sandia National Laboratory Albuquerque, NM 87185 (505) 844-4309 Schwoebel took his B.S. in physics and math from Hamline University and in 1962 his Ph. D. in physics from Cornell University, where he was subsequently a visiting professor in the department of materials science. He is presently director of the materials and process sciences directorate at Sandia Labs. A member of honorary scientific fraternities, Schwoebel is a fellow of the American Physical Society and the American Institute of Chemists, and a senior member of the American Physical Society.
