Maculopathy: case report. In a study of 75 patients, a man in 60s was described who developed maculopathy during treatment with paclitaxel for gastric cancer. The man was diagnosed with autosomal dominant retinitis pigmentosa in his 20s. He had a heterozygous mutation of PRPF31 gene (p.G381fs, c.1141delG). He complained of decrease in vision a year prior to his presentation. He had a best-corrected visual acuity of 20/300 OS and 20/400 OD. He had a history of advanced gastric cancer since 3 years with metastatic peritonitis and had been receiving anti-cancer treatment with paclitaxel [route and dosage not stated].
