This volume contains the proceedings of the 12th International Symposium on Practical Aspects of Declarative Languages, (PADL 2010), held in Madrid during January 18–19, 2010. As in previous years, PADL 2010 was collocated with POPL and other programming language-related events which, together, made up an exciting week full of cross-fertilization possibilities.
