This volume contains the papers presented at the Ninth International Symposium on Practical Aspects of Declarative Languages (PADL 2007) held on January 14–15, 2007 in Nice, France. Following the tradition of previous events, PADL 2007 was co-located with the 34th Annual Symposium on Principles of Programming Languages (POPL 2007) that was held on January 17–19, 2007.
