Abstract Wireless body area Networks is used to measure the ambient conditions related to the environment surrounding the sensors and transforms them into an electrical signal, which is transmitted to the sink and then processed further. The sensor nodes are constrained by energy supply and bandwidth and also there is a loss of data packets or intrusion of the data packets in the network. Various techniques have been proposed to improve the energy consumption rate, such as clustering, efficient routing, and data aggregation. In this paper, the clustering technique is used to reduce the energy and also Code Block Binding algorithm is used to secure the data that is sent to the sink for processing. The simulation results proved that the energy cost using the clustering based TDMA are reduced with security mechanism and the network lifetime is increased. Also, the CBB-TDMA algorithm is used which proved the PDR is 97% when compared to the other protocols which resulted only in 61% to 92%. 1 Introduction The body sensor networks interface the various sensor devices connected to the human body, which are used to monitor the gait pattern, vital movement and running style of the athletes. WBAN is used in various applications as medical and in the field of the sports. It is the main task to solve the problem in multi-nodes access and it is used to influences the network performance significantly. It has a reliable communication by using WBAN. The energy restriction of nodes in WBAN is unidirectional, wireless communication with * M. Mohammed Mustafa [email protected] V. Parthasarathy [email protected] 1

broadcast characteristics, MAC fixed assignment and the random competition MAC based on central control. It has advanced requirements in the WBAN design of MAC. Energy management is the protocol design but to overcome the difficulty of consuming energy in wireless communication. The WBAN is very active in MAC and it has protocols to be presented. The protocols could be divided into two kinds, they are one based on competition and another based on reservation. In MAC based on the reservation has the natural advantage of energy saving to the nodes and it can be used to achieve the channel utility without confliction. Their disadvantage is insufficient in scalability and it is not sensitive to the change of data amount. Various multiple access techniques are used for the reliabili
