Amiodarone/bisoprolol Sinus node dysfunction: case report
In a single-center, observational study involving 55 patients who had congenital heart disease (CHD) and who underwent catheter ablation procedures from April 2014 to April 2017, a patient [age and sex not stated] was described, who exhibited sinus node dysfunction during β-blocker therapy with bisoprolol and anti-arrhythmic therapy with amiodarone. The patient, who had CHD and intra-atrial reentrant tachycardia (IART), had been receiving anti-arrhythmic therapy with amiodarone 200 mg/day and β-blocker therapy with bisoprolol [routes not stated; not all dosages stated]. Thereafter, the patient underwent IART ablation. However, following the IART ablation, the patient exhibited sinus node dysfunction, which was suspected to be related to bisoprolol and amiodarone [durations of treatments to reaction onset not stated]. Subsequently, the patient’s sinus node dysfunction resolved. Cano O, et al. Evaluation of a near-zero fluoroscopic approach for catheter ablation in patients with congenital heart disease.
