Prolonged corrected QT following off label use: case report. In a single centre retrospective study including 21 patients conducted between 10 March 2020 and 10 May 2020, a patient [age and sex not stated] was described, who developed prolonged corrected QT during off label treatment with azithromycin and hydroxychloroquine for coronavirus disease 2019 [COVID-19; routes not stated]. The patient with COVID-19 was enrolled in the study and was schedule to receive off label treatment with hydroxychloroquine 400mg twice daily on day 1 and then 400mg daily from day 2 to 5 following azithromycin 500mg once on day 1 and then 250mg once daily from day 2 to 5. During the treatment, the patient developed prolonged corrected QT of 55 milliseconds more than that of previous ECG. The patient’s baseline corrected QT was 361 milliseconds which prolonged to 416 milliseconds after the treatment. However, the subsequent ECG revealed a corrected QT of 384 milliseconds.
