Genital melanotic macules are benign lesions that appear in oral or genital mucosa. Reticular Genital Melanosis (RGM) defines the “lattice-like” configuration that some genital macules are present. The depigmented component usually appears after melanosis had completely developed and it is restricted to the macule. A T-cell infiltrate located around

melanocytes has been found in histopathological examinations of RGM. In this clinical image, the association with hair and skin vitiligo suggests that the immune response of T cells against melanocytes, as demonstrated in vitiligo, could be considered the physiopathology of RGM (Fig. 1).
