Abstract. This paper reports results from a case study that investigated creating and sharing knowledge arising from experiences with the Ach so! mobile app for video annotation in healthcare education. The qualitative content analysis of the interview data indicated that Ach so! enhanced reflection when the students saw their action from videos and thus were able to evaluate their own and group performance as external observers and to create knowledge on their experiences. Ach so! promoted knowledge sharing when the students together reflected their performance and annotated successful and failed incidents. Research outcomes contributed to the design of the Ach so! and workplace practices, and suggested applying Ach so! to dynamic learning contexts and scaling the applicability of Ach so! to informal and non-formal learning contexts at workplaces. Introduction

Learning processes can be supported with technological tools that enable learners to create and share knowledge arising from their experiences. Ach so! is a mobile (Android) video annotation tool that was designed to support those learning processes in the contexts of construction and healthcare [1]. With Ach so! users record short videos, make annotations to them and share the annotated videos with their peers, supervisors of work and educators. Ach so! enables reflection and sharing that are highlighted as the key elements of learning to support informal learning processes while and after working [2, 3]. This study investigated the use of Ach so! in healthcare education where students used Ach so! to reflect their learning and performance after a proficiency test that was a typical form of exam in healthcare education. The research tasks were (1) investigating students’ learning experiences with videos and video annotations in the pre-defined learning contexts and (2) investigating student’s expectations with regard to Ach so! as a learning tool for occupational education and workplaces of their field. Students’ expe‐ riences and expectations were used for evaluating the potential of Ach so! to enhancing learning processes.

Ach so! Video Annotation Tool

Ach so!1 is an open source application for video recording, annotating and sharing (Fig. 1). It is implemented as an application for Android platform to be used with tablet computers or smartphones. With Ach so!, the users record short videos and categorize them under four genres.
