Treatment failure: case report In a retrospective single-centre cohort study of 172 patients treated between July 2016 and May 2018, a 66-year-old man* was described, who exhibited treatment with ledipasvir/sofosbuvir, while being treated for chronic hepatitis C genotype 1b infection with decompensated cirrhosis. The man, who had chronic hepatitis C genotype 1b infection with decompensated cirrhosis, received treatment with ledipasvir/sofosbuvir [route and dosage not stated] for 24 weeks. Hepatitis C virus (HCV) RNA was found to be positive following the completion of therapy suggesting relapse and antiviral treatment failure. * Identifying patient details (age, sex and initial) have been obtained through direct communication with the author.
