Modes of Sports Management in Higher School Yurong Wang and Yingjie Song
Abstract By using literature review, expert interviews, survey and comparison, this paper performed a research on sports management modes in colleges and universities in Sichuan. The principal findings of this paper showed that there were four types of sports management in higher school: (a) department of public physical education under executive president, (b) department of public physical education attached to school of physical education or department of physical education under executive president, (c) department of public physical education attached to department of basic courses education under executive president, and (d) combination of school of physical education and department of public physical education under executive president. The paper has analyzed their advantages and disadvantages and stated that should have a reform on sports management in higher education. The higher education should break traditional way of thinking, seek a new mode from the viewpoint of sport strategies, focus on the fundamental development, etc. Keywords Sports management • Sichuan • Higher education • Physical education

in China, by analyzing the structures of the sports managements in colleges and universities in Sichuan province, this study aimed to explore the advantages and disadvantages in higher education sports management. The authors attempted to offer some beneficial suggests for school and government authorities to help them construct the fit sports policies, reform the disadvantage sports managements and enhance the advantage ones [1].

Current Sports Management Structures in Sichuan
There are approximately 80 public colleges and university in Sichuan province, including key universities, ordinary colleges and universities, and vocational colleges [2]. With the further reform of higher education and the promotion of quality education all over the country, the sports management and functional organizations are having been changed as well.
