Nivolumab Encephalitis: case report

A 75-year-old woman developed encephalitis during treatment with nivolumab for metastatic lung cancer. The woman, who had metastatic lung cancer presented with cognitive dysfunction and seizure after 4 weeks of treatment with nivolumab [route and dosage not stated]. Her brain MRI was normal; however, CSF analysis revealed mild pleocytosis and EEG showed diffusely slow tracing. She was diagnosed with nivolumab-induced seronegative encephalitis. Thus, her nivolumab therapy was discontinued and she was treated with unspecified steroids. After 2 months, her neurological status improved. Cabral G, et al. Nivolumab induced-encephalitis.
