Raspberry Pi Based Smart Control of Home Appliance System

The unusual development of the “Web of Things (IoT)” is changing the world, and the quick decrease in the cost of normal IoT segments is enabling individuals to improve new ideas and items at home. The prominence of home computerization has expanded becau

1 Introduction Research on smart homes has been very active over the past decade to improve the quality of life. Yet the many projects in all countries have not been able to meet the many challenges. User-friendly and easy user interfaces are needed for users with little or no experience of interacting with conventional information technologies [1]. The systems to be developed should not therefore appear as new constraints disrupting daily activities but as real assistance tools that make life easier for people. The importance of creating home automation technologies requires us to develop and design a smart home that will be managed with a web interface. The realization of smart homes has been at the heart of several research in recent years. Advancement has come because of the scaling down of electronic gadgets for home computerization and the improvement of correspondence systems, despite the fact that several challenges still need to be overcome to enable the implementation of smart homes © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019 K. in real-life situations. Advances in video analysis have allowed their application in smart spaces, but their use in everyday life is considered too intrusive, as several research has shown. Similarly, embedded sensors are increasingly used for home medical surveillance especially for the elderly because they offer direct information on the position of the person and his vital signs, all useful information to identify the status of the no one. However, these sensors can generate a refusal of the people who doors them permanently, which delays and eliminates its general use [2]. For our system presented in this paper, we have chosen the use of standard home automation sensors (presence sensors, door contacts, etc.) that are sources of indirect information to assess the current situation of the inhabitant. It is from information of this nature that the home automation system must evaluate the need to execute an order and then decide on the desired action to guarantee the well-being and safety of the inhabitant. This article discusses controlling home appliances using Web interface services with the help of Raspberry Pi.

2 Literature Survey There are numerous meanings of home automation innovation. [3] Depicts home automation as innovation that enhances the personal satisfaction of the home and its tenants, through the contributions of different administrations, for example, telehealth, vitality preservation and sight and sound stimulation. In [4], a few sensors are controlled by the controller. A short message is sent naturally to the client by means of the framework when the sensor esteem surpasses the predefined edge esteem. The director controls the device by sending an instant message (SMS) to the framework. [5] ATMega32 utilized as the principle controller. The sensor can be remotely controlled through the Web or a cell phone. A web se
