Pulmonary haemorrhage and infectious complications: case report In a retrospective study of electronic medical records of 46 patients, who were diagnosed with Asian variant of intravascular large B-cell lymphoma (IVLBCL) at Samsung Medical Center between 2001 and 2018, one patient was described, who developed fatal pulmonary haemorrhage and infectious complications following treatment with rituximab [route and time to reaction onset not stated]. The patient, who had CNS involvement in Asian IVLBCL, started receiving rituximab 375 mg/m2 on day 1 along with cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine and prednisone (R-CHOP therapy). Subsequently, the patient developed pulmonary haemorrhage immediately after the infusion of rituximab during the first cycle of R-CHOP therapy and died due to massive pulmonary haemorrhage and subsequent infectious complications.
