I am very pleased by the publication of this textbook, “Surgery in the Multimodal Management of Gastric Cancer.” The editors, Professor Giovanni de Manzoni, Professor Franco Roviello, and Doctor Walter Siquini, are internationally well known leaders in this field. Moreover, Giovanni de Manzoni and Franco Roviello, respectively President and Secretary General of the International Gastric Cancer Association, are currently organizing the 10th International Congress, to be held in 2013 in Verona.
