Environmental concerns, such as air pollution and global warming, have become a major factor in all industries, also in aviation. Because of using the conventional systems, all problems will dramatically increase. It is necessary to develop more efficient, environmentally friendly, and economical alternative technologies that will be implemented in industries to create a sustainable future and meet the needs of tomorrow’s consumers. All parts of aviation industries (aircraft, airports, etc.) have a major impact on pollution and other environmental impacts. Aviation should be considered in detail in terms of new technologies and resources, taking into account the impact of energy, environment, and economy. Here, sustainability, a concept in which all these parameters are evaluated together, is a critical expression. In this book, different sustainability expressions in aviation will be examined.
