Preface

This handbook addresses ethical questions within the criminal law. It gives an unparalleled overview of topics within the criminal law, while simultaneously including the author’s unique perspective on the issues. These chapters include entries not only on “traditional” topics such as death penalty and civil disobedience but also chapters that take on the contemporary concerns of the criminal law, including revenge porn, targeted killing, and the role of neuroscience. We are grateful for the institutional support of our two law schools, including Dean Stephen Ferruolo at the University of San Dieg
