About the Authors
Moses Acquaah, Ph.D. University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, USA, is an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the Bryan School of Business and Economics at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, USA. He currently teaches strategic management and management of technology and innovation at the undergraduate and graduate levels. His current research interests include corporate networking, competitive strategy, knowledge management and human capital issues in emerging economies. His main publications include research on the impact of corporate reputation, corporate management capabilities, human capital and ownership on organizational outcomes. Maria Brouwer obtained a PhD degree from the University of Amsterdam. She is a professor of Industrial Organization and Technology Management at the Economics Department of the University of Amsterdam. Current research interests include the effect of uncertainty on contracts and incentive schemes; university-business relations; bankruptcy law and governance structures. Main publications include articles in Small Business Economics, Journal of Evolutionary Economics and Journal of Technology Transfer and a book on Schumpeterian Economics, published by Michigan University Press. Simone Ferriani received his Ph.D. from the Management Department of University of Bologna after being a visiting scholar at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and at the Stern School of Business, New York University. His research interests include causal attributions of business performance, interorganizational networks, knowledge-intensive firms and creative industries. He is currently a Marie Curie fellow at the John Cass Business School, City University London. Raffaele Corrado, Ph.D., is assistant professor of management at the University of Bologna. His main research interests include corporate governance systems, social networks and markets. His main publications include researches on intercorporate relations among large Italian businesses, and on the role of networks in the Italian wine industry.
