Dear Reader, As we reach the final issue of the year for Molecular Diagnosis & Therapy, we hope that you have found the articles published throughout 2010 to be both interesting and informative. The editors and publishing staff have appreciated the high quality of content contributed to the journal this year and look forward to keeping you up to date with topical issues in diagnostics and personalized medicine in 2011. The high quality of the articles published in Molecular Diagnosis & Therapy was once again recognized in the journal’s new Thomson ISI impact factor for 2009, which increased to 2.167. Our sister journal BioDrugs, which focuses on clinical biotechnology, biologics, and molecularly targeted therapies, had an impact factor gain of more than 55% over the 2008 figure, to an impressive 3.506. Other standout performers in the Adis journals portfolio included Drugs (impact factor 4.732), up 14%, and the American Journal of Clinical Dermatology (impact factor 1.820), up 17%. Impressive impact factor gains were also registered for Clinical Pharmacokinetics (4.560), CNS Drugs (3.879), Sports Medicine (3.118), Drugs & Aging (2.209), and Clinical Drug Investigation (1.414). The American Journal of Cardiovascular Drugs, a newly tracked journal in 2009, received its first impact factor (1.964) and was ranked #47 in the ‘Cardiac & Cardiovascular System’ category. We are also pleased to advise you of a number of important developments affecting the Adis journals portfolio in 2010. This year saw Drugs in R&D being transformed from subscription-based to open-access, making it the first Adis journal to embrace the open-access model. Drugs in R&D registered a new impact factor of 1.354, which was up more than 35% from 2008. Pediatric Drugs was accepted for inclusion in Current Contents/Clinical Medicine, and an impact factor for the journal is expected in 2013. This year, we also celebrated the 10th anniversary of the American Journal of Clinical Dermatology making significant contributions to the field of dermatology. Last, but not least, we would like to say a big thank you to all of the authors who have contributed articles to Molecular Diagnosis & Therapy in the last 12 months. Without their hard work and diligence, we would not have been able to publish the journal. The quality of published articles also reflects the significant time and effort dedicated by the peer reviewers, who ensure that we continue to publish content of the highest possible standard. In addition to the members of our Honorary Editorial Board, we would like to thank the following individuals who acted as referees for articles published in Molecular Diagnosis & Therapy in 2010: Eduardo Acevedo-Vasquez, Peru Dara L.
