Dear Reader As we reach the final issue of the year for Pediatric Drugs, we hope that you have found the articles published throughout 2008 to be both interesting and informative. The editors and publishing staff have appreciated the high quality of content contributed to the journal this year and look forward to keeping you up to date with topical issues in the field of pediatrics in 2009. We are also pleased to advise you of a number of important developments to affect the Wolters Kluwer Health | Adis journals portfolio in 2008. Pediatric Drugs was accepted as the official journal of the International Alliance for Better Medicines for Children. The journal has made great strides in meeting the information needs of pediatricians, pediatric clinical pharmacologists, and pediatric pharmacists. Furthermore, this year we launched a ground-breaking journal entitled The Patient: Patient-Centered Outcomes Research. The journal is published in collaboration with Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and over 10,000 copies of the first issue were distributed to interested readers. The high quality of a number of our titles was further recognized in the new ISI impact factors for 2007. The impact factor of CNS Drugs increased to 4.514 and PharmacoEconomics increased to 2.623. Clinical Pharmacokinetics, Sports Medicine and Clinical Drug Investigation also registered increases in their impact factors. Wolters Kluwer Health | Adis has been providing quality content to healthcare professionals for nearly 40 years, and the following titles will celebrate major anniversaries in 2009: Pediatric Drugs (10), Sports Medicine (25), Clinical Drug Investigation (20), CNS Drugs and BioDrugs (15). Next year we will also have a new online platform for our journals and we hope that the new functionality will help you navigate our content. Last, but not least, we would like to say a big thank you to all the authors who have contributed articles to Pediatric Drugs in the last 12 months. Without their hard work and diligence we would not have been able to publish the journal. The quality of published articles reflects also the significant time and effort dedicated by the peer reviewers who ensure that we continue to publish content of the highest possible standard. In addition to the members of our Honorary Editorial Board, we would like to thank the following individuals who acted as referees for articles published in Pediatric Drugs in 2008: C.L.
