The Ba-Nd phase diagram in [Massalski2] was as assessed by [1988Gsc] based on limited experimental data and assumed similarity to other Ba-rare earth systems. Figure 1 shows the Ba-Nd phase diagram obtained by thermodynamic assessment by [2003Lys]. The width of the immiscibility gap between the liquid phases was estimated to be much broader in [Massalski2] in comparison with [2003Lys].
