C-MRS Holds Meeting on Materials R&D Trends "Symposia on Materials R&D (Research and Development) Trends," the third meeting in a series organized by the Chinese Committee of the International Union of Materials Research Societies (CMRS) every two years, was held in Beijing, August 2-5, 1996. About 140 materials researchers from more than 50 institutions and universities in China attended. Twenty scientists—most of whom are members of C-MRS—gave the following lectures: 1.
