Cefepime Skin rash: case report In a retrospective cohort study of 67 patients (gram-negative bacteraemia susceptible to cefepime documented between 1 January 2007 and 30 April 2016), a patient [age and sex not stated] was described, who developed skin rash during treatment with IV cefepime infusion [dosage not stated] for gram-negative bacteraemia. Therefore, cefepime therapy was discontinued [duration of treatment to reaction onset and outcome not stated]. Author comment: "Adverse effects occurred similarly in both groups. . .Cefepime was discontinued in 1 patient (20%) secondary to a skin rash." Beauchamp LC, et al.
