The main aim of assessment is to assess whether learning has occurred or not and it is believed that the main objective of assessment is to find out how far the learning involvements are essentially generating the anticipated outcomes. Assessment primarily refers to the systematic way of collecting information with the aims of making judgments or decisions about learners, languages programs and exams. Assessment is believed to be basically rooted in the behaviorist viewpoint of learning. Changing Language Assessment: New Dimensions, New Challenges is a book about different voices that address the need to change the traditional dogmatized types assessment into modern assessment that gives the floor to enhancing the different classroom-based techniques that targets learners’ hidden potential to be creative learners in their academic environments their future field of work.
