THE LOGO: International Symposium on Alternative and Complementary Medicine There are several characters that express a concept. ISACM: International Symposium on Alternative and Complementary Medicine. INMPRC: Ishikawa Natural Medicinal Products Research Center. THE WORLD: alternative and complementary medicine (ACM) has its source internationally. MEDITATING HUMAN: I) ACM is involved in human health; 2) meditation or Yoga is one form of ACM; SNAKE (LEFT) AND YIN & YANG (RIGHT): The idea is to combine Western medicine and Eastern medicine. Snake is the symbol of Hippocrates representing Western medicine, while Yin & Yang represent the philosophy of Eastern (Chinese) medicine; GINKO: Ginko is used in Chinese medicine especially for the improvement of brain functions; MAGNET: Magnetism is used to improve various physical problems; BEE: Proporis, which is the mixture of sap and bee secretion, has strong antimicrobial activity, a well-known potion; HERBS: Various herbs have been used historically; EARTHWORM: Used for many diseases in Chinese medicine; MUSHROOM: Mushrooms known to have immune enhancing effect, especially for cancer; MUSIC NOTE: Music therapy, which is also getting popularity as ACM.
