The book is published at a particularly timely moment in our history when new crop improvement technologies are being developed at the same time as Codon Genomics the world faces formidable challenges associated with population growth, climatic change, environmental deterioration and resource depletion. The impressive cast of editors and authors are well qualified to produce a book on such an important topic.
