ESNR PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS
The corona pandemic not only brought grieve to some of us, but also anxiety, economic loss and increased stress to many. Luckily, at the time I write you this welcome address, the world seems to take a turn for the better. However, since we are not quite ready for the planned 'physical' Annual Meeting in Lisbon, this year's 43rd Annual Meeting of the European Society of Neuroradiology (ESNR) will be a very special event. For the first time our main convention will be exclusively online, organized from our Central Office in Switzerland and broadcasted all over the world. Luckily change creates opportunities. For the 2020 Annual Meeting we will bring you a slimmed down, but not less interesting 5+1-day meeting starting on Monday October 5 and ending with the Honorary Members and Awards Ceremony and the General Assembly on Saturday October 10. We were able to put together a very interesting program brought to you for a very reasonable price. State-of-the-Art lectures, review courses and scientific presentations will be brought live to you every day from 14:00 to 17:30 CET. During the Annual Meeting we will celebrate Prof. Leon van Rensburg and Prof. Zoltan Patay as Honorary Members for their outstanding contributions to neuroradiology during their long and successful professional careers. We can't make up for the lack in social gathering, networking and meeting friends just now. But I do hope the world will return to normal soon so we can meet in person again!
