Systematization of Production Yields in Photonuclear Reactions from Enriched-Tin Targets at the Bremsstrahlung-Photon Endpoint Energy of 4.5 GeV A. R. Balabekyan

Yields of photonuclear-reaction products formed in targets from separated tin isotopes under the effect of beams of bremsstrahlung photons whose endpoint energy is 4.5 GeV were investigated. The systematization performed on this basis revealed an isoscaling character of the behavior of the production yields for various mass regions of reaction products.

Special Features of the Isospin Splitting of the Giant Dipole Resonance in the 90 Zr Nucleus V. V. Varlamov, N. N. Peskov, and M. E. Stepanov

Data on the proton and neutron channels of the photodisintegration of 90 Zr nuclei were analyzed in detail, basic parameters of the isospin splitting of the giant dipole resonance in 90 Zr being determined by the properties of these channels. New data concerning the cross sections for the partial photoneutron reactions 90 Zr(γ, n)89 Zr and 90 Zr(γ, 2n)88 Zr and resulting from a simultaneous correction of data from experiments performed in Livermore (USA) and Saclay (France) by using beams of quasimonoenergetic annihilation photons were invoked. Use was made of information about the positions on the energy scale of states characterized by different isospin values in the 90 Zr nucleus and nuclei neighboring it, which are members of the respective isospin multiplet. New data on the parameters of the isospin splitting of the giant dipole resonance in the 90 Zr nucleus were obtained on the basis of a global analysis of data on the giant-dipole-resonance states of the 90 Zr nucleus, which are manifested in the respective photoneutron and photoproton cross sections and in their decay channels involving states of different isospin in neighboring nuclei.

Problem of the Energy Spectrum of Ultrahigh-Energy Cosmic Rays A. V. Glushkov

A number of cosmic-ray energy spectra measured in the energy region E0 ≥ 1017 eV at the Yakutsk array and at AGASA, Haverah Park, HiRes, Auger, and SUGAR within different periods of time were considered. It was shown that, upon rescaling the energy of these spectra by factors of К = 0.75, 0.85, 0.9, 1.02, 1.19, and 1.29, respectively, all of them agree with one another rather well in shape. The factors К themselves exhibit a pronounced north–south dependence on the geographical latitude of the positions of the above arrays.

Structure of the 6 Не Nucleus in a Three-Body Model B. E. Grinyuk and I. V. Simenog

The properties of the 6 Не nucleus were investigated in a three-body approximation (an alpha-particle cluster plus two neutrons) on the basis of the variational approach by using a Gaussian basis. For nn and nα interactions, potentials that make it possible to describe S-wave phase shifts for elastic scattering and, simultaneously, to reproduce faithfully the energy and the size of the 6 Не nucleus were proposed. Characteristic structural features of this nucleus that are manifested in the density
