Abstract In this paper, gear pump failure because of bush bearing looseness is investigated. Vibrations analysis is one of the main manners of the diagnosis of mechanical failure. After bearing looseness, gears clearance is changed because of change between gears’ clearances. Time signal, spectrum velocity, spectrum accelerations, envelope velocity, and envelope accelerations are methods of vibrations analysis and signal processing to diagnose a failure in rotary machines. In this study, bush bearing failure and adhesive wear in gear using signal processing including machine spectrum, envelope spectrum acceleration, and acceleration spectrum are detected. Gear failure because of bush looseness has many symptoms that these symptoms are pronounced in this research. The best time for failure detection is the beginning of failure so the beginning of bush and worn gear’s teeth failure was found in this paper. Introduction Failure analysis is an important method to prevent catastrophic failure and increasing maintenance costs. Vibrations analysis and historical failure analysis can help detect kinds of failure. Bearing failure analysis in engines is very important to identify so the identification and classification of rolling element bearings failure modes in the eddy current dynamometers are presented [1]. different bearings failures of shakeout used in foundry and remedies improving the performance of shakeout is investigated and discussed factors affecting bearing life, and proposition toward increasing bearing life is also suggested [2]. The typical failure modes are crack, improper lubrication and greasing, and improper loading of bearing on to the shaft. Involving various modes of failures and analysis of damaged rolling bearings to prevent catastrophic failure is studied [3]. Vibrations failure analysis is the main method to show how bearings and gears must be changed because of failure. Gears failure has many causes, so several causes of failures are presented [4]. Bad journal bearing clearance caused relative displacement; this occurrence fails bearings under gradient loads in journal bearings [5]. Fretting failure in rolling elements bearing causing stress and dynamic loads is investigated. Rolling element bearing is going to fail because of brinelling early [6]. Periodic dynamic loads on ball bearings cause bearing fatigue and failure so uncertainly and experimental analysis for detective failure of rolling elements bearing is done and researched for silicon nitride bearings [7]. Environments, excessive load, bad start-up, and many other things are vital to how much time bearing
