Whole body rash: case report In a retrospective study of pregnant women conducted from January 2009 to May 2016 involving 101 women, a woman was described [age not stated], who developed whole body rash during treatment with gelatin sponge for the monitoring of the embolisation [not all routes and dosages stated]. The woman, who had amenorrhea for less than 7 weeks diagnosed with cesarean scar pregnancy (CSP). She was recommended for embolisation and treatment with methotrexate. Accordingly, she was started on methotrexate. Thereafter, she received local anesthesia with lidocaine 2% and an embolisation was performed. Gelatin sponge particles were injected in bilateral uterine arteries. During treatment, she developed whole body rash specially on the face and neck as an allergic reaction to gelatin [duration of treatment to reaction onset not stated].
