In the fall of 2009, Anies Al-Hroub (the second author) conducted a research project on the utility of psychometric testing on identifying gifted children with learning disabilities in Lebanese schools. Part of the project included administering the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) to students who were nominated by their school as being intellectually gifted.
